The Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon is in only 7 minutes drive from Geo Hotel so guests can easily visit the phenomenon at any convenient time. In a nice weather a walk to the Blue Lagoon can be very lovely, through the lava field. Walking distance is around 6 km (3.7 miles) from the hotel.

Gunnuhver

Gunnuhver is a collective name for an impressive and colourful geothermal field of various mud pools and fumaroles in the southwest part of Reykjanes Peninsula about 15km from Grindavík.

When exploring the Reykjanes peninsula Krýsuvík thermal area, with its boiling mud pools and steam vents, and the curious lake Kleifarvatn with their striking landscapes’ should not be missed.
